On the Down Survey (1655-6) map of Coolerahin parish, there is a house depicted in the W portion of the townland with accompanying text, 'a castle and house in repaire'. The castle referred to is a tower house (KK009-065001-). The terrier accompanying the map records that 'a castle a mill and a house with a chimney in repaire at Lismyne’. The precise location of this house within the western portion of this townland is unknown.
