In an elevated position in rolling grassland, with good views. A cashel (KK009-033----) is located c. 170m to the SE. Indicated as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 31m) on the 1900 revision OS 6-inch map. The enclosure was levelled during land reclamation. It is not visible at ground level. A field boundary runs NE-SW along the outer SE edge of the monument. The location and size of the enclosure sugggest that this is a ringfort.
