One of a cluster of five fulachta fia (KK008-165----, KK008-166-----, KK008-167----, KK008-188----) and three burnt mounds (see also KK008-191----, KK008-192----) excavated in 2006 in advance of construction of the M8/N8 Cullahill to Cashel Road Improvement Scheme (Excavation licence no. E2391). A spread of grey black sandy silt (L 9.2m E-W; Wth 12.2m; D 0.14-0.2m) with occasional burnt stone and charcoal. Post-medieval pottery sherds and bottle glass was found within the layers.
