Excavated in 2006 in advance of the M8/N8 Cullahill to Cashel Road Improvement Scheme (Excavation licence no. E2394, Area 2, Site B). A mound (20m x 12m; D 0.3m) composed of compact black sandy silt with frequent angular heat-shattered stones and charcoal. Beneath the centre of the mound was a subrectangular feature (L 3.7m; Wth 1.4m; D 0.25m) truncated at E and W by drains. Another fulacht fia (KK008-174----) lies c. 20m to the NE.
