On fairly steeply sloping upper valley sides but below the very steep uplands, in rough rolling pasture. A possible concentric enclosure (KK008-122001-) is located c. 150m to the N. There are good views, except to the E where the monument is overlooked by higher ground. A roughly circular area (diam. 32m N-S; 36m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (Wth 2m; int. H 1.45m; ext. H 1.8m) and external fosse (Wth 3m; D c. 0.8m), which is very substantial at S. Original entrance (Wth c. 2.5m) at SE. There are two semi-circular sunken hollows (max. diam. 15m) in the SE sector of the interior, possibly modern.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
