In the flat plain of the River Goul which runs NE-SW c. 265m to the NW, on a slight flat-topped hillock, a little higher than surrounding valley bottom. Foulkscourt Castle (KK008-087----) and bawn (KK008-087001-) are located c. 200m to the W and an enclosure (KK008-088----) is located 120m to the NE. Indicated as a small circular enclosure (diam. c. 16m) on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and not indicated on the 1900 revision, suggesting it was levelled between 1839 and 1900. The enclosure is not visible at ground level.
