In corner of field in relatively good arable land which has been reclaimed. Area of black, bog-iron slag (5m square) with two large burnt stones (dims. 0.8m x 0.45m x 0.3m; 0.4m x 0.5m x 0.2m) which may have formed part of the furnace bottom. Monument was identified following land reclamation, when the slight rise covering the slag was ploughed out.
