What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, at the foot of a W-facing cliff, immediately SE of Cummeenadillure Lough. The remains of a circular hut site (3.6m E-W; 3.4m N-S) defined by a drystone wall (T c. 0.85m; H 0.7m). Rubble from the collapsed upper courses and fern growth obscures the interior. Rubble is also scattered along the perimeter externally. There is another hut site (KE109-093002-) immediately to the N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
