In rough hill pasture, to the W of a N-flowing stream, on a terrace on the N-facing slope of Knockowen. An irregular grass-covered mound (6.3m E-W; 4.4m N-S; H 0.45m) of burnt material. There is a wet marshy area to the SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
