Within the SE sector of an enclosure (KE109-073001-). The remains of a subcircular hut site (4.4m N-S; 3.6m E-W) defined by a drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 0.35m) which survives best along the external S arc. The lower course stones protrude above the bog and are partly grassed over. The hut site is cut (D 0.3m) into the upslope at N and built up (H 0.25m) externally at the S. The level interior is obscured by rushes. There is another hut site (KE109-073002-) in the NW quadrant of the enclosure. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
