In rough hill pasture, on a terrace of the lower NE-facing slopes of Knocknaveacal. This relict field wall (T 0.55; H 0.8m) is situated S of a medieval road (KE108-013007-) which ran from Kenmare to Castletownbere. The stretch of wall (L c. 45m) which extends SE from the roadside, swings to the E and then NE for a distance of c. 12m and ends beside a river. The well-defined wall, which consists of large, upright, contiguous slabs, protrudes above the blanket bog. A five-stone circle (KE108-013004-) is c. 70m to the W. There are other stretches of field walls (KE108-013005-) further to the W on the S side of the medieval road and to the NW on the N side of the road.
