This stone (0.38m x 0.26m SE-NW; T 0.15m), which lies flat on the ground, is sub-oval in shape and has a deeply incised cross (0.16m x 0.09m) on its upper surface. The stone is to the E of a path along which pilgrims walked in a clockwise direction while making the 'rounds' at the adjacent lake which is regarded locally as a holy well (KE108-004001-). A smaller stone with which pilgrims repeatedly scratched the outline of the cross lies on the ground beside the stone. 'Rounds' which have been revived in recent years, take place here annually on 7/8 July. The remains of a hermitage (KE108-003----) and another cross-inscribed stone (KE108-004002-) lie c. 4m and 10m to the E, respectively.
