This site is indicated as a large circular enclosure on the first edition of the OS map, but today resembles the irregular field depicted on the second edition. The wall of this field appears to be modern and no trace survives of the earlier enclosure. It was located in boggy pasture between two branches of the Staigue river. This may be the site near Staigue bridge referred to by Graves as the 'ruins of a stone fort' (1877, 289).
