A stone-built souterrain passage, aligned N-S, was reputedly discovered at this location in the woods surrounding Darrynane House (local information). It was blocked up in 1990, and now lies beneath a trackway. A second souterrain (KE106-136----) is reputed to lie W of the Lodge House in the woods, but its exact location could not be identified. Neither site is marked on the OS maps.
