A rectangular sandstone boulder measuring 1.45m E/W is incorporated into the lowest course of boulders forming the exterior wall at S of Loher Stone Fort. Measuring 1.45m EW and decreasing in height from 0.38m at its E end to 0.2m at its E end, the boulder is inscribed with a circular cupmark, diam. 0.07m, D. 8mm, which is located 0.22m in from the boulder’s E edge and 0.17m from its upper edge. Occsaoinal pickmarks, particularly W of the cupmarks, are also found on the rock surface. The boulder may form part of the original fabric of the fort as restoration work to the exterior wall of the fort in the 1980s was carried out at its W side and not at this location. The boulder is located 3.7m SW of the entrance to the fort and some 6m from rock art panel KE106-015011. Beyond the fence enclosing the fort, a cupmarked boulder is located 20m to S in a field clearance cairn and a cup-and-ring marked boulder is located in field clearance 80m to SW.
