What is recorded here

For descriptive account see O'Sullivan and Sheehan (1996, 278-90, no. 948 (11)). In 2001 limited archaeological excavation of the leacht, which is traditionally known as the 'Monks' Graveyard', involved the removal of 19th-century and later drystone revetment (Bourke 2003, 170). This work revealed that the Monks' Graveyard consisted of two conjoined leachta. This is the southernmost leacht.
