In rough hill pasture, on a S-facing slope, in the valley of the Coomeelan stream and within a network of relict field boundaries (KE103-049002-). A grass-covered kidney-shaped mound (5m E-W; 4m N-S; H 0.8m) of burnt material protrudes above the surface of the bog on the W bank of the stream. It is indented slightly along its N side and burnt material is exposed at E. Another fulacht fia (KE103-049003-) is c. 35m to the S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
