In rough pasture with rock outcrops on the N bank of the Sheen River. Flat-topped boulder (L 1.7m; Wth 0.95m; H 0.65m) supported on three stones, two of which also have pad stones. The monument stands on bedrock in a natural niche in the E side of a rock outcrop. According to local information coffins being taken to the burial ground at nearby St. Feaghna's Church (KE102-038002-), were rested here, sometimes overnight. The old GlengarriffKenmare road, now disused, lies a short distance to the NW.
