In rough hill pasture, on a SE-facing slope, in the valley of the Esk stream. Collapsed stone walls protrude above the surface of the bog at irregular intervals throughout a trapezoidal area c. 420m NW-SE x c. 400m NE-SW. One curvilinear wall (T 0.7m; H 0.4m) runs upslope from the Esk stream to the NW for c. 200m. It runs into deeper bog on level terraces and reappears on the slopes. Nine hut sites (KE102-088001, KE102-088002, KE102-088003-, KE102-088005-, KE102-088006-, KE102-088007-, KE102-088008-, KE102-088009-, KE102-088010-) and an enclosure (KE102-088004-), which were recorded in the NW portion of this network of field boundaries in 2000, were found to have been levelled on a subsequent inspection in 2007. Some of the walls in the vicinity of the hut sites and enclosure had also been levelled.
