What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on a NE-facing slope, overlooking the valley of Lough Inchiquin. A circular cairn (diam. 2.5m; H 0.75m) of grass-covered stones, varying in size and shape, protrudes above the surface of the bog. This cairn is 4m E of a relict wall which forms part of a network of field boundaries (KE101-101001-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
