What is recorded here

In rough hill pasture, on an E-facing slope, sheltered by ridges of outcropping rock to the N and S, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. A NW-SE section of wall (L c. 28m) curves across a sheltered hollow, enclosing three hut sites (KE101-090001-, KE101-090002-, KE101-090003-). The wall (T 0.65m; H 0.3m) protrudes above the surface of the bog and is partly grass-covered. Loose stones are scattered on the downslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
