In rough hill pasture and cutaway bog, on a SE-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Dromoghty River. A circular cairn (diam. 3m; H 0.6m), comprising stones of various sizes and shapes, protrudes above the surface of the bog. Traces of stone kerbing are evident around the base of the cairn. A hut site (KE101-089003-) is 32m to the NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
