What is recorded here

In pasture, on undulating ground, overlooking the valley of the Drombohilly River. Indicated as an oval raised area (c. 20m NE-SW; c. 15m NW-SE) defined by hachures on the 1895-7 OS 6-inch map and abutting a linear field boundary at NE. This possible enclosure is not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
