What is recorded here

In rough boggy pasture, on top of a ridge, on a SW-facing slope. A linear wall, which extends to the W from the W arc of an enclosure (KE101-012003-), protrudes (H c. 0.3m) from the bog (D 0.2-0.4m) and extends in a W direction for c. 20m. It then turns to the NW and continues for another c. 20m where it is visible intermittently above the bog. The wall turns to the N and then NE for c. 16m before disappearing completely into deeper bog. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
