Internal diam. 30.75m N-S, 32.25m E-W
This bivallate rath is located between Knockanamadane and Derrygarriff mountains on the E side of the Tahilla river. It is situated in rough grazing land and overlooks Kenmare Bay to S. Trees grow on the crest of the inner bank, which is composed of earth and gravel with occasional large stones. This bank has an internal height of 1.3m at N and is flush with the level of the interior along the S half. It has a basal width of 5.6m and varies from 2.1m to 3.9m in external height. An ill-defined gap occurs at SE which may be the location of the original entrance. The fosse is 3.3m wide and is waterlogged at S. The outer bank is extant only from SE to N, and measures 1.8m high externally. It is up to 6.7m wide. The level interior of the rath is apparently featureless.
