Templenafannada/ Teampall na Feannaide: This site is located on the SW slopes of Beenrour, on the N side of the valley of the upper tributary of the Finglas river. It is situated in an area of rock outcrops and scree, and comprises a natural cave of triangular elevation, open to W. The OSNB recorded 'a large quantity of human bones' in the cave (Kilcrohane, 10). No trace of these bones now survives, but deposits of barnacles and periwinkles occur towards its inner end. The site is recorded in local lore as a place of refuge.
