New site identified by John Cronin & Associates (JCA) under Licence No. 16E0127 prior to wind farm development in Grousemount, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry by ESB Wind Development Ltd. The remains of a sub-rectangular hut site located on small level terrace on sloping ground midway between T.15 and BP-F at ITM grid location 508882, 568598. The feature is defined by c.1m wide dry-stone walls which are up to 0.7m in height and has a possible entrance to north. Visible external dimensions of 4.3m N-S by 4.5m E-W. The defining 1m wide walls contain 2 to 3 courses of medium to large random dry-stones, however, much of this is collapse. Possible entrance to the north, much of the feature is masked by vegetation growth, particularly on its western side. See attached photograph courtesy John Cronin.
