In rough pasture, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Sheen River to the SW. An oval enclosure (c. 25m N-S; c. 20 E-W) is faintly visible on an aerial photograph (GSIAP, V 99-100) taken in 1973. This enclosure is not visible at ground level. The area has recently been cleared and reclaimed. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 30 May 2011
