This poorly preserved bivallate rath is located in low-lying boggy pasture overlooking the estuary of the Inny river and Ballinskelligs Bay to SW. The area is prone to flooding and the enclosing banks are severely eroded. Short stretches of the outer bank survive only along the S side of the site. It is .5m high externally, measures 1m wide and rises .8m above the base of the waterlogged fosse. At N, where there is no apparent trace of the outer bank, the fosse is .35m deep below external ground level and is 2m wide. Traces of the inner bank survive for most of its circuit, but it is very low and poorly-preserved. About 2.6m wide, it rises up to 1m above the base of the fosse and falls .6m to the interior of the rath. The well-defined entrance is located at S and measures 1.25m wide. Its sides are faced with drystone masonry, now considerably collapsed. A poorly defined causeway crosses the fosse at this point.
