What is recorded here

This stone is located just S of the Inny river, in good pastureland that affords lengthy views along the river valley. Of rectangular elevation with a sloping top, it stands 1.75m high. It is roughly rectangular in plan at base, measuring .9m x 0.5m; E-W. A number of packing stones protrude at its base. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 199. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 28 July 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
