What is recorded here

This stretch of a narrow, stone trackway is located approximately 230m NNW of a large rock inselberg in the Imlagh Basin, Valencia Island. It was revealed by peat-cutting in 1990 and consists of a single layer of three slabs, laid lengthwise on the peat. It occurs .8m below the bog surface and appears to run N-S. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 15. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 28 July 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
