This record was formerly classed as a 'House site' in the SMR (1990) and in the RMP (1997). The record was originally classed from the information recorded by the ITA survey in the 1940s. 'A curious feature of this fort is the oval-shaped house built on its SE side.' This 'oval-shaped house', measuring '9ft. [2.74m] high, with base of 6ft [1.83m], and with walls about 2ft [0.61m] thick'. It is described as having been built with limestone rocks and mortar and situated at a lower level to the rath. There are no visible remains of this 'house', which is most likely the remains of the limekiln depicted abutting the NE side of the rath (KE085-011---) on the 1841-2 OS 6-inch map.
