This stone is situated in bog on the steep S slopes of Boughil mountain, and commands an extensive view over Kenmare Bay. Block-like in appearance, it stands 1.38m high and is roughly trapezoidal in basal plan, where it has maximum dimensions of 1.02m x .5m; NE-SW. Packing stones are apparent beneath the growth of bog at its base. The site is recorded as 'Buachaill Finnleithid' in OSNB (Derreenfinlehid, 4).
