What is recorded here

Within a field system (KE083-023002-). The remains of a circular, stone-built hut site (diam. c. 7m) defined by roughly built walls (T 0.5m; H 0.6m) which are two to three courses high. The interior is obscured by a dense growth of rushes. There is another hut site (KE083-023032-) c. 25m to the SE. (SMR file) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
