What is recorded here

Panel of rock art on area of exposed outcrop (maximum dimensions of exposed surface: 2.8m x 1.8m), consisting of four cup and single rings, two cups with double rings, one cup with triple ring (maximum 19cm in diameter) associated with a line of three cups immediately beside it and a cup and ring surrounded by smaller cups in a so-called ‘rosette’ motif, 24cm in diameter. One of the single cup and rings and double cup and rings and conjoined. There are also 8 definite and two probable cup marks, the largest central cup mark has a short arc of a possibly unfinished ring beside it. The panel appears to be relatively un-weathered with well-defined geological striations or fissures crossing at almost 90 degrees to each other and very little lichen coverage on the decorated area, suggesting that the decoration has only become exposed in the recent past. Reported to the ASI by Ken Williams. Compiled by Ken Williams Date of upload/revision: 28 February 2022
