In mountain heath (208m OD), on a N-facing slope of Mullaghanattin mountain, on S side of Owenroe River valley; c. 50m to E of rock art (KE082-082----). A slightly rough and fractured sandstone boulder (dims. 3.21m N-S; 2.27m E-W; max. H 1.35m at E) which is expansive, yet low in profile. It has a rectangular decorated surface (dims. 0.42m N-S; 0.26m E-W) upon W-facing aspect, which is otherwise primarily covered by grass. The decorative elements are very weathered, albeit traceable and are partially obscured by frequent lichen cover. The motifs consist of four cupmarks (range diam. 4-6cm; D 10-17mm) located upon S half of decorated face. The E-facing aspect of stone is very steep and does not appear to bear any motifs. Three grass covered stones upon top of rock are likely to be derived from field clearance. Initially identified by Paddy O’Sullivan, Teagasc (1998).
