What is recorded here

Close to the summit of Keelnagore, on its E side in open mountain terrain. A roughly built circular hut with an entrance passage at NE. A lintelled chamber at N apparently precedes the hut. Both features may be of relatively modern construction. D: 2.3m. H: .5m. T: .6m. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1203. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 31 July 2013
