In rough grazing, on a W-facing hillslope overlooking the valley of the Carhan River. A horseshoe-shaped mound (14.7m E-W, 7.9m N-S; H 1.6m) of burnt material whose opening (2.5m E-W; 2.4m N-S) faces a stream to the N. Clumps of gorse cover the mound and the stream is eroding the W end of its N side, exposing heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil. An enclosure (KE080-039002-) lies c. 20m to the S and an unclassified megalithic tomb (KE080-039----) is c. 70m to the SE.
