A model in yew wood of a Hallstatt-type sword and part of a wooden mug were discovered at this location in 1958 (NMI 1958:94). A grave-like structure formed of stone slabs was subsequently discovered in an adjoining field when a ditch was being dug (NMI). It contained no bones, and no apparent trace remains of it.
