What is recorded here

The hut (KE080-007001-) measures 2.6m x 1.2m internally, and is subrectangular in plan. Externally it is subcircular in outline. Its wall averages 1.1m thick, and is carefully constructed of horizontal courses of thin slabs; it survives to an internal height of 1.25m. The entrance, 1m wide, is located at NE. A large amount of collapse covers its interior. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 622. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 29 July 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
