In pasture, on a knoll surrounded by bog in the valley of the Clydagh River. In the 1930s Capt. D. B. O'Connell described an opening '2 feet 6 inches square' [0.76m square], flanked by two stones, which led into a stone-built chamber '14ft [4.27m]...4ft [1.22m] wide & 3 ft 6 in [1.06m] high' here (SMR file). A series of grass-covered depressions, extending for a distance of c. 11m ENE-WSW, mark the location of this souterrain. Openings in the bases of two of the depressions (D c. 0.8m) reveal stone slabs, some of which are displaced, probably roof lintels of the souterrain. Another depression with an opening (diam. 0.9m; D 0.75m), 4m to the SSW, suggests that the souterrain extends in that direction. (Waddell 1970, 17)
