What is recorded here

In rough, heather-clad pasture, broken by rock outcrops, on a W-facing slope. An irregular-shaped area (7m N-S; 4m E-W at N; 2.3m E-W at S) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 1.3m). The W portion of the interior is raised and the E portion is cut (D 0.5m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. Loose stones are scattered on the downslope externally. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011
