What is recorded here

In very rough commonage, on a break of a steep SE-facing slope. The remains of a rectangular area (3.8m E-W; 2.7m N-S) defined by a well-built drystone wall (T 0.55m; H 1.2m) consisting of rough slabs. The entrance (Wth 0.7m) is off-centre to the W in the S wall. The S portion of the interior is raised slightly to compensate for the hillslope. The interior is covered in ferns. There are some trees outside the S wall. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011
