In rough upland pasture, on a terrace on the N-facing slopes of Macgillycuddy's Reeks. The remains of a roughly D-shaped hut site (2.2m E-W) with the straight E side (L 4m N-S) formed by the outer face of an adjoining hut site (KE073-003----). The upper courses of the wall (T 0.6m; H 0.8m) are collapsing. A partially obscured interior is cut into the upslope (D 0.8m) at SW. A third hut site (KE073-003002-) is c. 10m to the WNW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Volume I: South-West Kerry' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
