In mountain heath and cutaway bog (168m OD), on a NE-facing slope. Good views of Behy river valley to NE with Seefin and Droum Mountains in background. A slightly rough to very rough and fractured, large sandstone rock outcrop (dims. 1.92m N-S; 2.95m E-W; H 0.55m at N) which is subrectangular in plan. It has an irregular-shaped decorated surface (dims. 1.3m N-S; 0.85m E-W) with a S-facing aspect. The decorative elements consist of a large cup-and-two-ring motif (total diam. 22cm) having a pronounced cupmark (diam. 6.5cm; D 8mm) and rings (Wth 2cm; D 2-3mm) which are quite faint. A cup-and-one-ring motif (total diam. 15cm) having a deep cupmark (diam. 6.5cm; D 11mm) and faint ring (Wth 1.5-2cm; D 2mm) is adjacent to W; Two cupmarks (diam. 4cm; D 3mm) are to NW and SW. A second cup-and-one-ring motif of similar size and form is further to S, at edge of rock surface. A separate flat stone bearing a single, oval cupmark (dims. 5cm x 6cm; D 8mm) is located c. 0.7m to WNW. Compiled by: Alison McQueen and Vera Rahilly Date of upload: 26 January 2018
