What is recorded here

A cluster of hut sites identified and described by John Loesberg as; 'On southern flank of Drung Hill. Cluster of small huts, walls & possible pens/sheepfolds. Location is close to the end of what appears to be a very long continuous boundary wall that climbs up gradually from the valley floor. Topmost construction of a small group of huts. Two conjoined stone huts with walls up to 1m high. Slightly angled courses of stones would imply at least some corbelling. First division (with entrance) more or less rectangular shape c. 2.2 x 2m giving access to second part, oval in shape of c. 3 x 2.4m. Small lintel and niche in wall of second part. Remains of what may have been a third associated hut at SE side'. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien based on details provided by John Loesberg Date of upload: 7 October 2022
