This souterrain, not marked on the OS maps, is located in rough boggy pasture on the S side of Meelin ridge, just N of the upper tributary of the Ferta river. It was accessible within living memory, but no surface trace of it is now apparent. It was recorded by Ua Riain who describes ‘a short flight of steps’ leading down to a ‘narrow doorway’, beyond which were two further ‘doorways’, with a blocked passage behind each (1927). These ‘doorways’ were presumably creepways. The site is locally known as ‘Lisnalour Oven’, due to its proximity to Lisnalour rath (KE070-021----), c. 270m to NNW.
