This roughly circular univallate rath is located in gently sloping pastureland just above a sharp drop to the Ferta river at S. The site commands extensive views to S along the river valley. Faint traces of a shallow external fosse, measuring 4m wide and .3m deep, are discernable at NW and S. The earthen enclosing bank is modified and is virtually levelled in the SE sector; elsewhere intermittent traces of drystone facing occur along its inner flank. The bank measures 1.5m high externally, 1.4m high internally and is 2.3m wide. A gap at SW may mark the original entrance. A second gap at NE appears to be of recent origin.
