What is recorded here

A pair of rectangular huts of drystone construction, set 2m apart, on S bank of a stream on SW side of Slievagh mountain. An old field system (KE069-009001-), possibly associated with the huts, lies to S. The S hut (KE069-009002-) has only its S and W walls surviving; the W wall is built against a low artificial scarp and stands .55m high and 1.9m long. The S wall is 2.23m long. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 1340. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload: 1 August 2013
