What is recorded here

In the 1940s two raths were recorded in Doocarrig Beg, one in Jeremiah Mahony's land and the other in Clem Cooper's land, said to be connected with 'Lios na gCraobh' (KE068-015----) (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry). One of these raths (KE068-029----) has been identified in the townland but the other remains unlocated. Compiled by: Elizabeth Byrne, Ursula Egan and Sheila Ronan, Archaeological Survey Unit, University College, Cork. Date of upload: 31 January 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
